London’s only fully vegan fashion event, Bare Fashion, has officially become part of the summer 2019 fashion calendar, confirmed for August 10.
Taking place at the iconic Old Truman Brewery located in Brick Lane, Bare Fashion will be an all-day event which will host two high-end and high-street catwalk shows. Exciting sustainable alternatives to common fashion materials, from natural leather alternative Pinatex to cork, will be featured in the shows.
Organised by the award-winning Vegan Food & Living magazine, this year’s fur-free event welcomes a new panel of fashion speakers, including author of Vegan Style, Sascha Camilli, influencer Marta Canga and ethical fashion futurist, Kay Lovelle.
Sarah Lindsay, event director, said: “We are keen to help promote sustainable, ethical and slow fashion. We want to celebrate the growth and hopefully one day be a part of making compassionate and sustainable fashion mainstream.”
A special vegan and cruelty-free beauty session with celebrity makeup artist Emily-Jane Williams and vegan blogger, @veganbynicole, will also be presented to give visitors the opportunity to learn from experts of the vegan beauty industry.
“I would love to make it easier for those wanting to shop vegan and cruelty-free makeup. Raising awareness at Bare fashion is the perfect place for that,” said Williams.
The 100% vegan and cruelty-free event will also display hundreds of pop-up stores providing opportunities to socialise with industry professionals, including footwear brand Collection & Co, skincare brand Skyn Iceland and food company One Planet Pizza.
VIP ticket holders will be given a goody bag full of £50 worth of ethical gifts, have special access to the private lounge area, be able to eat unlimited MiiRO vegan ice-cream and receive many more surprises.
Early bird, standard and VIP tickets for Bare Fashion can now all be purchased at barefashion.co.uk.
